About This Project
Somewhere in human history, in every culture and every age, certain extraordinary souls have appeared. They came as weavers and kings, as wandering poets and desert hermits, as warriors and farmers and fishermen. They spoke Aramaic and Sanskrit, Persian and Punjabi, Hebrew and Yoruba and Chinese.
They were called by a thousand different names. But they all pointed toward the same thing. Inward.
This database is not a religious document. It belongs to no single tradition. It does not ask you to believe anything. It gathers the evidence of what human beings across every culture and every century have reported from the inside — and tries to present it honestly, carefully and with appropriate humility about what we know and what we don't.
How We Evaluate
👑 Masters / Satgurus — Those who could initiate souls on the inner path and guide them to the highest planes of inner experience. In Sant Mat tradition, this means the living initiating master of each age.
🌸 Saints — Highly evolved souls with genuine inner experience and love of God — but not necessarily the initiating master of their age. Many of the greatest figures in human spiritual history fall here.
🔯 Prophets — Those sent with a specific divine message for their people and their age. Their inner attainment level is not always determinable from the outside.
🌙 Mystics — Those who documented genuine inner experience across every tradition — but whose level of attainment we cannot confirm with confidence.
Where we have drawn conclusions, we have done our best to ground them in evidence and honest reasoning. Where we are uncertain, we say so. Where we lack knowledge, we invite contribution.
The Team
This project was conceived and developed by a 35-year initiate of the Sant Mat tradition — a student, not a teacher; a seeker, not an authority. Research conducted in collaboration with Claude (Anthropic AI).
Source materials include Master's published books (*Philosophy of the Masters*, *Crown of Life*, *Naam or Word*, *Morning Talks* and others), 35 years of satsang attendance, and scholarly research across world spiritual traditions.
